THE TRUTH THAT EVERYONE KNOWS BUT VIRTUALLY NOONE ACTS ON

Last I checked, it was a fact that if someone was decapitated they died immediately.  In fact, in all of history not one person’s life went on after they lost their head (if they had, King Henry would have had a hard time getting rid of wives).   I’ll even go as far as saying that everyone you and I know would agree as well that when the head is separated from the body the body dies.

Why is this important to talk about?  Because understanding this simple fact gives us insight into how the body truly functions and heals itself.  Can a body without a head still have a heart beat?  NO.  Can a body without a head still have digestive functions?  NO.  The fact is, the brain gives life to all the cells, tissues, and organs in the body and also directs healing when damage happens.  If it didn’t a body without a head would still run around and perform its activities perfectly (which would mean that the headless horseman is really out there).  But we know it can’t.

Anatomically, severing the spinal cord stops information from flowing from the brain into the body’s cells.  This causes death. 

But let’s investigate one more point here.  Would 100% of the educated professionals as well as people we know agree that damaging the spinal cord causes disease, sickness, and death to the body even when the head is still attached?  Of course they would and so do you (think about me squeezing your spinal cord really tight, how long would you want me to do that?).  So just damaging the cord causes problems for the body!  What if we just had a damaged nerve?  What would happen to the heart if the nerve transmitting information were damaged?  The heart would build disease and die.

I understand I could have put the above paragraphs into one sentence but the problem is that when I say…”if you damage the nerve system, you cause disease and early death in your body”,  Americans don’t listen even though they know the statement is right.  They need the above evidence.  Do you?

The point is this.  Can you be completely healthy, free from diseases like diabetes, heart disease, lung disease, muscle pain if you have damage to the nerve/spinal cord feeding those areas information on how to function and heal?  NO.

So why does everyone believe this but only 2% are actually pursuing and partaking in a way of identifying and correcting nerve damage? 

Two reasons:  1.  A body can’t feel the nerves having pressure until the nerve has 40% damage and..

2.  We would rather take a pill then put time into correcting our spine and nerves

But whatever the reason, disease still comes and early death is unavoidable.

REACHING YOUR HEALTH GOALS

HEALTH GOALS

 

I hear people tell me all the time that they are “trying”

I hear people tell me all the time that they are “doing better”

I hear people tell me all the time that they don’t have time to make changes or attend a workshop on nutrition or exercise

 

AND THEN I LISTEN TO PEOPLE TELL ME THAT THEY ARE NOT REACHING THEIR GOALS AND THAT THEIR ISSUES STILL REMAIN.

 

You know the definition of Insanity is when you do the same things over and over and expect a different outcome.

Einstein once said that “you cannot solve the problems you are having with the same level of thinking (or living) that you used to create the problems”.

 

In other words, just “trying” or doing it at “50%” is not a change in living or thinking that can sustain you long enough to create your goals.  That’s why trying to solve a health issue with pills and surgery cannot ever work.  Because they are still symptom oriented and don’t involve a change.

 

It’s simple.  If you look in the mirror, or at the belly hanging over the pants, or at the bloodwork report, or at the MRI report, or at your child’s symptoms, etc…and you don’t like what you see, then vow to yourself that you are done being INSANE and you are going to make a full change.

 

If its eating better, you cannot enjoy sugary breakfasts and lunches full of processed carbs and have a good dinner and expect results.

If its losing weight, you cannot surge at 50% and then complain about not losing weight.

 

It’s simple.  To achieve your health goals, just do what NIKE says   “JUST DO IT”

Chances are that you have heard about the importance of cardiovascular exercise.  Whether you heed the advice to participate in cardio exercise or not is your call, but you cannot escape the fact that neglecting to do it will yield negative implications.  Maximized Living Doctor Matthew Milonas provides some insight as to how you can implement cardiovascular exercise into your own life.

The problem that most people seem to find with cardiovascular exercise is that they simply do not like it.  And why is this?  For some, the issue is that there is seemingly not enough time to fit a cardio work out in.  For others, they get bored with cardiovascular exercise and they fail to stick with a training program.  And for others yet, they simply do not like cardiovascular exercise.  All of these may be valid reasons, but learning to develop a cardiovascular program is well worth the effort.

One simple way of getting a cardiovascular exercise is working it into your daily life.  This could mean a variety of things, from riding a bike to work or simply choosing to take the stairs as opposed to the elevator up to your office.  Better yet, take that hour which you spend in front of the television and go out for a brisk walk.  You would be surprised how beneficial a walk can be when compared to doing nothing.

If you get bored with cardiovascular exercise try spicing things up.  If you do not like walking, give jogging or running sprints a try.  Or, there are a variety of stationary machines available to provide a good cardio work out.  If these traditional methods do not float your boat, be creative.  Anything from martial arts to rowing qualifies as a good cardio work out.
